I received a BSc degree in Physics in 1994, followed in 1996 by the MSc in Medical Physics, and in 2002 I obtained a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Patras, Greece. I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Computer Vision Center Universitat d’ Autonoma, Barcelona, Spain (2004-2006), and Medical Physics Dept., University of Patras, Greece (2002-2004, 2006-2008). I have participated in research projects with a primary focus on image analysis and computer-aided diagnosis. I have authored or co-authored international journals and conferences on medical image processing and machine learning. I hold three international patents filed by Imaging Ltd, Israel. In 2009, I was elected Lecturer, and currently, I am an assistant professor of Medical Informatics at the Dept. of Medicine, University of Ioannina, Greece.
